Susan Dewey, Executive Director of VHDA and Barbara Fox, director of Government Relations at Freddie Mac, attended the signing of Senate Bill 797 by Governor Tim Kaine, which addresses home foreclosures by requiring mortgage lenders to provide 10 days written notice when they want to accelerate the repayment of high-risk loans, and grants the homeowner an additional 30 calendar days to try to resolve the situation, if they request an extension.
